May the Force of 7 Be With You

Awwww....the long awaited post regarding the Star Wars party! I think (HOPE!) our Seanie had a great time. He said he did and he was all smiles that night after his party...After a few minor changes due to a impromptu flood, and the boys' bedroom being moved to the family room...the movie portion was moved to the upstairs and the kids were banned from the basement. Oh well, we moved beyond that and it all worked out. Nicholas & Sean & I came up with an obstacle course in the living room that consisted of a tunnel, a crawling run behind the couch, over the footstool, a lightsaber battle, a "tightrope" (a.k.a. a 2x4 laid across two little chairs), and then it was finished with an attack on the Death Star (a.k.a. 7 silver balloons attacked by a nerf gun).

And a special thanks to my 2 assistants: Nicholas & Nicholas! Without these two, I think I would have been under attack! LOL, just kidding! All of the boys were excellent. I love the boys in Sean's class; there are no little "cliques" and they all get along so well. They all have a lot of the same tastes and are a close little group of boys. Anyway, now that I have raved about these great little guys, on to the rest of the party. After the obstacle course, we moved onto cupcakes and ice cream. Here's where Nicholas & Nicholas really helped me out. During this portion of the party, one of the little guests needed to go home due to a minor asthma emergency. Nicholas & Nicholas were in charge of dishing up ice cream & handing out the Capri Suns while I tried to get ahold of this little guys' parents & calling in my good friend, Tonia, to help me out with this situation. We finally got ahold of Dad & he came to get the little man. All was okay. During this, the boys created havoc in the kitchen (LOL) and enjoyed their cupcakes & ice cream!

And the party continued to the gifts...lots of fun Star Wars items! Including a new Visual Dictionary (if you have never checked out the Lego Visual Dictionary books they are AWESOME!), a really great StarWars Lego playmat/box (I had never seen one of these however, it is totally cool & definately recommended!), gift cards for Amazon.com & iTunes, a new StarWars Lego set, and a Lego StarWars Alarm clock. So very generous. All I can say, is I love this little group of boys & the special friendship they have.
And it's official: He's 7!

(And check out the missing tooth...lost on the last night of being 6)
