Abcdefg

Whelp, we have a new addition to our family. Sean has an imaginary ladybug...the name he has choosen for his ladybug...Abcdefg. He is so cute with him. The ladybug sits in his cupped hands and has snacks, sleeps and reads stories. The other day it was a ladybug theme at the library storytime, as we were walking in I asked Sean if he remembered his ladybug, his reply was "yep, he eating snacky" and showed me his cupped hands. We have no idea how this friend came to be in our world however, he travels with us quite frequently on errand running, to the park, and anywhere else we venture too. He sleeps on our shoulders and gets into "naughties" (according to Sean). In these pictures they were just watching cartoons and having snacky's.

Weekend Boating

We spent a wonderful weekend out at Chief Timothy with my mom, stepdad, stepbrother & stepsister. It was a blast! They brought their boat and motorhome down and we went out tubing and boating. Nicholas had a blast on the tube & went out a couple of times. Sean wasn't to keen on the whole tube part of it and decided to just take a nap. We took out the kids' 4-wheeler and they played hard. We walked down to the store & Grandma bought them popsicles. Sean thought it was so much fun to just run & chase the birds. Nicholas got to spend the night (in the motor) with Grandma, Papa, Chris & Senna. He thought it was so cool. Papa made yummy pancakes and Grandma had really yummy syrup. He got to sleep in Buzz Light Year, have sticky marshmallow treats, and go tubing again on Sunday morning. Mom & Ray said he was really wanting to go in the water by himself after the tubing so he could climb up the ladder into the boat. They said he jumped in the water and it was like cardiac shock...he started shivering before he came up to the surface, got into the boat, wrapped himself in two towels and didn't talk all the way back to camp. When I got there at noon, he was wearing slick pants. Apparently, the water was REALLY cold! We all had a great time spending the day with the family, and even got a treat when Grandpa & Grandma Hagedorn stopped by to visit.

Christmas in July!

Wednesday morning the boys woke up to a brand new toy! Our good friends, the Wimer's, handed down their Power Wheels to the boys. Nicholas & Sean were so excited. Nicholas now thinks that Jeremy is just like Santa Claus! The boys have pretty much ridden (and fought) over the "4" since Jeremy brought it by. Thank goodness that they haven't figured out how to plug in the battery. That is our saving grace...we unplug it when the fights begin! They are having so much fun with it. Sean has so far run over Nicholas once, and Nicholas has drug Sean along behind him once. I think they are even, so far.

4th of July

What a wonderful 4th of July! Every year we head to the Greencreek 4th of July Celebration with our good friends Tom & Tonia, their kids, and Tonia's family. Greencreek knows how to party and throw an awesome family filled day complete with a yummy homecooked breakfast and great activities for the kids. The boys always have fun riding the lawn mower train and the little motorized cars. They get to shop at the store and purchase all kinds of treasures. This years purchases were the plastic blow-up bats & candy necklaces. Nicholas & Sean also participated in the watermelon eating contest & Nicholas won 25 cents. Ray & I spent the morning visiting with friends we don't get to see very often and let the boys run. It's one of those events where you can trust that the kids are safe, can still keep them in the corner of your eye, and they feel safe to just run and be kids. That night we headed down to the levee with Tom & Tonia, their kids, and Tom's Dad & Stepmom who chauffeured us in their motorhome. It was a blast! The kids thought it was so cool they got to ride in a motorhome. Their was sidewalk chalk artwork, complete with body outlines, and stomp-rockets. The only disappointment of the evening was the missing ice cream lady. Their were a few tears and promises of ice cream treats the next day. Greencreek and the levee fireworks (and the ice cream lady) are one of our many yearly traditions that we share with Tom & Tonia. It's fun to know that the kids will grow up having so many memories and traditions that they can hopefully pass down to their kids someday.

Boise Weekend

We had a great weekend escape! An unexpected trip to Boise to hang out with Ray. He's been working an hour and a half south of Mountain Home and asked the boys & I to come hang out in Boise with him this weekend since he wasn't coming home. The boys & I left Saturday morning (early!) and hung out with my friend, Candy, and her kids for a couple of hours...then it was on to the pool at the motel to swim with Ray's sister, Heather. The boys had a ball! We did some shopping on Sunday & then more pool time with Heather. Ray left early Monday morning for work and the boys & I left later in the day. Of course the boys & I hit the mall on our way out of town and then stopped to say goodbye to Candy and her family. The boys had a ball hanging out with Candy & Chris's kids who are pretty close to their age. Nicholas has already asked if we can go back to their house to play. It was a great weekend, relaxing by the pool & just enjoying life.
