Beautiful Brenna

She's finally here!!! If I'm saying that because I'm excited, I know my sister is saying it even louder!! Brenna Jean arrived early Tuesday morning (12:28 am to be exact) after a long labor. She weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs 7 oz and was 20.5 inches long. She has beautiful dark brown/blackish color hair with a few blond highlights...I know she's already stylin'! She is absolutely adorable (I'm not biased or anything) and has perfect coloring. When we seen them on Tuesday both Mommy & Daddy were doing good, a lot on the tired side, but very proud and happy that she was here and healthy. Tracie & Brenna were supposed to be released yesterday however, I have not talked to her to see if they were able to go home. The boys and I drove down to Walla Walla Tuesday afternoon to see them. Nicholas thought Brenna was pretty cool and he cuddled right up to Uncle Jeff and Brenna and rubbed her tummy. After a couple of minutes of checking her out, he was done and was ready to go out and color in Grandma & Papa's motorhome. Sean was a little intimidated by the hospital and stuck pretty close to me, he checked out his new little cousin a little bit and then was ready to go too. They are the proud big cousins and had to show off her picture yesterday when we picked Nicholas up from school. We are all very excited that Brenna is here and both her and Tracie and doing good. Congratulations Tracie & Jeff...we love you and are so excited for you.
(I normally don't put pictures of other people's children on the blog however, I'm making an exception this time to show off our beautiful little niece!)

Training Sean

Well....one afternoon, Mas had some Cheese-nips & Sean wanted some. So, Mas decided to see if he could train Sean. It was so funny that we had to record it. Here is a clip of Mas training Sean on the front lawn...

The Big 5

Whelp, it's official, we are now the proud parents of a 5 year old. Nicholas had a wonderful birthday celebration that lasted for about 4 days. His Aunt Natalie & her boyfriend Mas came up late Tuesday night and let Nicholas open his first birthday gift Wednesday morning...What little boy wouldn't be excited to have his first "big boy" Legos be an Indiana Jones set...complete with his own whip and Indi hat! Then on Thursday he had his Special Helper Day at school where he got to wear a crown, was sang to, and got to have Mom go to school with him. We had a great day and even went on a field trip to the Clarkston FFA Barns. That night, Grandma Sally & Papa Randy came up and had pizza and he got a surprise visit from Papa Ray with a new baseball pitching machine. Friday was his actual birthday, and he woke up to a bedroom full of balloons (38 to be exact) and a living room decorated with streamers (thanks Natalie & Mas!). For lunch we went to Dairy Queen with a few friends & Aunt Natalie & Mas and had ice cream and french fries. Ray came home early that day and we all went to soccer. Aunt Natalie & Mas stayed for soccer and then had to leave for Boise. We stopped at Safeway on the way home where he picked out an ice cream pie (the kid doesn't like frosting...I know crazy!) and him and Sean got to have a Kid Cuisine for dinner. Then on Saturday he had a soccer game in the morning and then it was rush home and get ready for his party. It was a beautiful day for a party in the park. He had a lot of his friends invited for pizza, cupcakes and ice cream cups. It was a great time and all of us were pooped by the end of the day. Here's some pics of the 4 day celebration!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderfully busy Easter weekend. We started the weekend off with a very wet soccer game. The kids had a blast playing in the rain, the thankful thing was that it was still pretty warm. Then it was a quick trip home to change and eat lunch, then it was off to the Easter egg hunt at our Church. I was "in charge" of Nicholas and Ray had Sean. I couldn't even keep up with Nicholas, he was off running, dodging people & climbing trees for the eggs. Apparently, Sean would look at the eggs, tell Ray "there's another egg" and then do nothing. Ray had to coax him into picking them up if he found them. Thankfully, Nicholas was a nice big brother and shared his candy...all the way to Costco and back. Yes, Ray & I paid for that mistake. We went to Church Saturday night and brought back two very tired little boys who crashed. Sunday we woke up to Easter baskets and excitement over chocolate bunnies. We went to Church, came home & changed, then it was off to Grandma Sally & Papa Randy's for lunch and another Easter egg hunt. The boys love Easter at Grandma & Papa's...Grandma fills the eggs with treats (and this year quarters) and the boys have a blast finding them in the yard or the pasture. Ray & I both ate way to much and both had slight stomach aches the next morning when he left for work. It was a wonderful weekend & we were very blessed to spend it together with family. Here's some pictures from the weekend.

Spring Break

Well, we are offically back to the routine of school. We enjoyed Spring Break and it seems that it went by way too fast. Ray was working in Pullman last week and we were very spoiled. He was working the later shift, so he would leave around 11:00 or 11:30 in the morning and then get home around 11:15 or so that night. We loved having him home in the morning, it seemed like we got to spend more time with him then when he gets home around 7 or 8 in the evening. On Monday, the boys and I headed down to Dayton and hung out with Tracie (For those of you curious, she DID NOT have that little baby!!! Although, she's working her tail off to get that baby out!) Anyway, the boys had a great time playing with the little boy she watches, and we enjoyed just lounging in our sweats being lazy, prego, sisters. On Tuesday, we pretty much did nothing, we walked over to Tonia's and let the kiddos play for a couple of hours. Wednesday, Tonia, her sister Amy, the kiddos & I all went second hand shopping. We determined that this was a Spring Break tradition, since we did the same thing last year. It was a lot of fun and we all found some great bargins. The kids all came home with some new books from Goodwill, I came home with a couple of maternity shirts and a dress for Easter from Goodwill, Nicholas got a pretty much brand new pair of slacks from Born Again and even Baby Brenna got a pair of jammies from Born Again. Thursday I had my Glucose Test so, Ray traveled up with us and took the boys out to see where he's been working and then they went shopping at Tri-State...I sat in the lobby of the Dr.'s office and read my book for the hour. Then the four of us went to lunch...this is something that rarely happens in our world so, it was definately a treat. Friday, we didn't do much of anything. Overall, we had a very enjoyable Spring Break.

What Nicholas Thinks of Me

So my friend Nicole had this on her blog and took this test with her 4 year old son. I thought it would be fun to do with Nicholas while we were waiting for his color pages to print out. Wow, the things kids come up with! The idea is to ask your child the questions and then write their response exactly how they say it. You should try this, it's pretty cute.

1. What is something mom always says to you? Clean your bedroom when she tells you
2. What makes mom happy? When you give her special treats & a kiss and a love
3. What makes mom sad? When you hit her a lot
4. How does your mom make you laugh? When she tickles you
5. What was your mom like as a child? I don't know that one
6. How old is your mom? I forgot
7. How tall is your mom? 8 inches
8. What is her favorite thing to do? Playing that monster game outside
9. What does your mom do when you're not around? Talk
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for? Cause your so smart
11. What is your mom really good at? Running
12. What is your mom not very good at? Getting your tummy hurt
13. What does your mom do for her job? I forgot
14. What is your mom's favorite food? Turkey
15. What makes you proud of your mom? When mommy gives you a treat
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? A girl dog
17. What do you and your mom do together? Play the monster game
18. How are you and your mom the same? We both have the same eyes
19. How are you and your mom different? When we have different hair
20. How do you know your mom loves you? Cause she gives me lots of kisses and hugs

Obviously, we need to work on some of these! Because nobody hits me, one of my least favorite things to do is play the monster game outside (although I suck it up once in a while), I'm not very good at running, and my favorite food isn't turkey (where he came up with this I have no idea!).
