Now your telling yourself "Wow,she's pretty creative...What is she trying to do with this setup." Well, let me tell you how out of shape that I am. We went to the park on Saturday; it's a few blocks away. Ray & the boys rode their bikes and El & I set off in the stroller with the idea we would run part of it. As we're leaving the house (and my failed attempt to get her to listen to her Veggie Tales Worship songs for inspirational music)I found out how out of shape I really am...I ran to the end of the block. Then I walked for a ways, then I jogged for a short period...well you get the picture. On the way back, Ray laughed and offered to run with Elli and I could ride his bike; Nope I was bound and determined to get in shape. On Sunday, I made him take a walk with me around the block where I set some new goals for myself...the first one being that I would be able to run around the block by the end of the month. That brought a snicker. The second one was that I would run Bloomsday with Tracie next year. That brought out a full belly roll laugh. Now, I'm bound and determined to prove him wrong. Thus, I have gotten up a little earlier each morning for the past 2 mornings & done a small run with my Mii on the Wii and worked with my Personal Trainer...we're strengthing my leg muscles and learning how to breath Yoga style.
Tonight, I went even further and created my masterpiece workout. A playlist on Spotify with some serious workout songs: Step by Step (of course you have to have New Kids on the Block, duh), Battlefield, Single Ladies, Wild Ones (I have discovered I like Flo Rider), Hit Me With Your Best Shot & I Hate Myself for Loving You, these are just a few...I will continue to add to it. Then, I created my "work station" with binders, a step ladder, and paper reams...this was so that the head phones that I stole from the boys' DS bag would reach from the computer to where my head was (oh yeah, I also had to spend 15 minutes detangling the headphones from the 3 chargers & the other set of headphones), then I downloaded a pedometer app for my phone, got into position and took my Danielle Steel book off the shelf. I have found that with some fun music and a good book, that the elliptical glide & I might just become friends after all.
Ok, I think my legs are back to normal...now I have a kink in my shoulder.
